Jessica Rosen is a queer feminist artist studying studio art in her last semester at Colgate University. She is passionate about using her love for painting to uncover the nuances in the expectations of womanhood and femininity. Jessica’s character Sandra represents the “nightmare” version of herself as a housewife. Jessica is currently working on a second iteration of this project, questioning what Sandra’s nightmare version of herself would look like. It will continue to examine domesticity, maintenance labor, and what it means to break away from the rehearsed choreography of acceptable womanhood.
