“In a Room Made of Mirrors” is a piece of my heart, a poetic monologue written as part of a play I am currently drafting. The untitled play follows Hannah and Jill, two women struggling with their sexual and religious identities and strained parental relationships. “In a Room Made of Mirrors” is a confession of Hannah’s love for Jill, as well as a confession of the freedom found in embracing one’s truth, living without fear, and discovering what kind of love one deserves.
